One Year Later: An Introspective Look into the University System of Georgia’ Student Housing P3

In 2013, the University System of Georgia (USG) made an unprecedented move and announced their decision to privatize most of the state’s on-campus housing over the course of multiple phases. In 2014, the USG and Board of Regents announced they selected Corvias Campus Living as their partner for the first phase which includes 6,195 existing beds and 3,758 new beds across nine campuses.  As a first-of-its-kind P3, the partnership between Corvias and USG represents new ground broken in student housing – and a potential model to transform the industry forever. Join us as we review the lessons learned after 16 months from all perspectives of this P3 – the University System’s, the advisor’s, the private partner’s, and the financier’s – and hear what advice they have for both current and future P3s as well as what myths they will dispel.
