Beth Zafonte

Beth Zafonte has 30 years of experience in securing Economic Development Incentives for projects throughout the United States, representing a broad range of private developers and Fortune 500 corporations on a national basis. Beth has been involved in projects that have utilized over $3 billion worth of incentives. She represents both public and privately held companies, as well as institutions, in connection with location and real estate decisions specifically related to determining eligibility for, and the procurement of, economic development incentives and real estate financing.

Using both as of right and discretionary incentives programs on federal, state and local levels, she represents clients in matters involving real estate tax abatements, bond financings, sales tax exemptions, mortgage recording tax exemptions, below market rate loans including New Market Tax Credit financing, EB-5 Immigration Investor Program financing, tax increment financing, grants, energy cost reductions, and various tax credit programs including those available in special federal and state designated zones, workforce training grants, and numerous other entitlement programs, to enable project feasibility.

Beth has represented many of the largest financial services and media/communications companies in the country in matters involving incentives packages for major corporate retention transactions, in addition to representing national real estate developers in large scale urban renewal projects and mixed-use developments. Her work also includes national clients in the food services industry, hospitality, shopping centers and manufacturing concerns.
