Michael Morris

Michael Morris is the managing partner of Cana Development, a full service real estate development, consulting, and brokerage firm.   Michael has overseen development over 15 million square feet of commercial space throughout the United States with a reputation for delivering high quality mixed-use urban development projects, while leasing over 175,000 square feet of retail space per year representing both Landlords and Tenants. Cana Development is the retail development lead for the District Detroit, playing a key role in the construction of a new arena for the Detroit Red Wings, as well as, 300,000 square feet of ground up retail.  Previous to founding Cana, Michael was the Director of Leasing/Development for The Cordish Company.  At the Cordish Company, Michael was responsible for the development and leasing of projects such as: The Power & Light District and Kansas City LIVE! in Kansas City and 4th Street Live! in Louisville.  Michael is also the managing partner of Monogram Hospitality, a full service operations company that specializing in the Food & Beverage industry. Michael graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Yale University, where he was a four-year varsity letterman in lacrosse. Michael is married with 3 children and resides in Baltimore, MD.
