Renee Lamb

Renee Lamb is the Project Manager for North Tarrant Express, Segments 1 and 2W, a 13.3 mile Public Private Partnership project along northeast Loop IH-820 and Airport Freeway in Tarrant County.  This $2.02 billion project will rebuild the existing main lanes; add four toll-managed lanes, plus frontage roads and auxiliary lanes, approximately doubling the existing capacity of this facility.

Renee is a 1983 graduate of the University of Arkansas where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  She began her career in the TxDOT Lufkin District, moving to the Fort Worth District in 1985.  She worked in Advanced Planning and Central Design in the Fort Worth District until accepting the position of Tarrant County Engineer in 1996.     Renee served 16 years for Tarrant County, first as County Engineer and then as Director of Transportation Services.   Upon retirement, she returned to TxDOT, joining the Strategic Projects Division as the Project Manager for the NTE Project.

She is a past president of the Texas Association of County Engineers and Road Administrations, and also served as the State Director for the National Association of County Engineers.  In 2005, Renee was selected as Outstanding County Engineer in Texas.

Renee has a son who graduated from St. Edwards University, and now calls Austin his home.  Her daughter, a graduate of the University of Arkansas and the Southern College of Optometry, is currently practicing optometry in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
