Robert Sloposky

Robert Sloposky serves as Group Director and Senior Vice President at Signature Bank (NASDAQ:SBNY), a New York-based full-service commercial bank.

Sloposky brings more than 30 years of financial experience to his position with Signature Bank. Since joining the Bank in 2009, Sloposky has become a leading expert in the area of providing financing and escrow services for businesses, municipalities and government agencies qualifying under the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.

Before joining the Bank, Sloposky was Vice President at HSBC, where he managed a large commercial portfolio spanning clients such as real estate developers, securities firms and government organizations. He also was the registered lobbyist for HSBC’s New York City operations.

Prior to establishing a career in banking, Sloposky created his own real estate investment company, where he owned and operated more than 40 commercial properties over the course of 25 years.

Sloposky also applies expertise he gained in financial restructuring while owning his own firm to his role with Signature Bank, having served as a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy US Trustee Receiver. He has written restructuring plans and represented Citibank and Sears in Federal Court and 341(a) proceedings.

Sloposky is a member of the Public Policy Committee of II USA, the national membership-based 501(c)(6) not-for-profit trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center industry. IIUSA’s primary mission is to make the program a permanent and successful part of 21st century U.S. economic development policy through advocacy, education, industry development and research.

Sloposky is a past Rotary Club president of the chapter in Robbinsville, New Jersey. Additionally, his philanthropic efforts over the years earned him the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award, which acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

He graduated Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s degree in financial management. Additionally, he was among the first group to be admitted to the Master’s degree program at Seton Hall’s School of Diplomacy, which included classes held at the United Nations, featuring diplomats from around the world. His focus of study was geopolitical strategy. Sloposky resides in New York City and Robbinsville, New Jersey.
