Susan Hart Ridley

Susan was appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for Fiscal Affairs in April of 2013 to oversee the University System of Georgia’s Public Private Venture program which has financed 188 projects representing $3.6 billion in outstanding capital lease obligations.  Her primary mission is to implement a new financing model for the system’s housing program.

Ms. Ridley has twenty years of experience in financial management and economic development for the State of Georgia.  Susan previously served 5 years as the Director of the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission, the state agency responsible for selling the State of Georgia’s general obligation bonds and managing state authority revenue bond issuances.  Prior to joining the Commission, Susan was the Deputy Director for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, Director of Economic Development for the Department of Community Affairs, and Associate Director of the OneGeorgia Authority.  Ms. Ridley has also served as Legislative Director for the Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.  She has a BA in Theology and Intergovernmental Relations from Georgetown University.
